Francesc Sola is a technology leader with a lifelong passion for computing and extensive experience in software engineering. Having built platforms in various programming languages, he began coding at the age of four on the Sinclair Spectrum. Throughout his career, Francesc has gained hands-on experience in systems architecture, cloud computing, and designing scalable solutions. As a co-founder and technology leader of two successful startups, he has developed expertise in Google Cloud Platform, AWS, and Microsoft Azure, focusing on building high-performance cloud infrastructures.

His key strengths include working with large-scale data architectures, optimising ETL pipelines, and ensuring the scalability and efficiency of databases. Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Groovy, Python, and Bash, Francesc also specialises in Business Intelligence analytics, helping organisations derive actionable insights from data. He is well-versed in web development frameworks like Angular and React, ensuring modern, responsive user interfaces.

Currently, Francesc leads the company’s Technology Excellence team, providing a holistic 360-degree vision across Infrastructure, Cloud, Data, and Analytics in Pricing & Revenue Management. His ability to architect innovative solutions and drive technical excellence makes him a key player in transforming business challenges into scalable, high-impact technology solutions.

Fluent in Catalan, English, and Spanish, Francesc has a strong interest in high-performance cloud architecture, software engineering, cloud computation, bare-metal systems and data centres, cybersecurity, technical administration, and corporate cloud infrastructure.

In his spare time, Francesc enjoys outdoor activities, including multi-day mountain biking trips in the highlands and swimming in the sea. A heavy metal enthusiast, he is also a former drummer in several bands. When not immersed in technology, he enjoys building high-performance computers and data servers, practising Olympic shooting with a 9mm, and collecting stamps from around the world. A true music lover, he has a deep appreciation for high-end valve audio systems and enjoys mushroom hunting.
